- Think about what you want to do during your holiday, but don't overload the itinerary! (leave a couple of days free for flexibility)
- Consider buying tickets for attractions before travelling (there are often deals available)
- Spare suitcase!
- Sun-tan lotion, sunglasses and sun hats
- Camera (camcorder)
- Mobile phone
- Remove international bars
- Check international call rates

- UK-US electrical adaptors
- Money (US dollars cash and travellers cheques, UK cash for return home)
- You will need single dollar notes on landing, for luggage carts (currently $3) and for road tolls
- Toiletries
- Clothes (including waterproofs)
